Kim Peek, the man who inspired the story behind the 1988 film Rain Man and who had “perhaps the world’s most capacious memory of facts,” passed away at the age of 58. He was a documented savant who was not autistic - unlike Dustin Hoffman’s character - and could remember everything he’d ever read. (Photo: AP via the New York Times)
